Rental terms
These terms apply to bookings made directly, through the website, by phone or on WhatsApp.
Who lets the house
Casa Bunicilor Gârbova is run by TDA TURISM RURAL SRL, a limited liability company with its registered office at Str. Maramureșului nr. 5, ap. 1, 550062 Sibiu, Sibiu County, tax ID (CUI) 37884011, Trade Register no. J2017001015326, share capital 200 lei. The property is classified as rooms to let (camere de închiriat), 1 star, under classification certificate no. 36000. The supervisory authority is the Ministry of Economy, Digitalisation, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (economie.gov.ro).
What is rented
The whole house is rented to one group of at most 16 guests: eight double rooms with private bathrooms, the dining room, the kitchen, the courtyard and the orchard. Rooms are not rented separately.
Price
The price is per night for the whole house, however many people stay. The base prices are 1,800 lei for Sunday to Thursday nights and 2,400 lei for Friday and Saturday nights; some periods have other prices and a different minimum stay, shown in the booking calendar.
Bed linen, towels, toiletries, firewood and charcoal, Wi-Fi, parking and the horse-cart ride are included. The hot tub (500 lei per session), the sauna (300 lei per session) and meals from the caterer are paid separately.
Prices are final; TDA TURISM RURAL SRL is not registered for VAT. There is no local tourist tax.
Booking and deposit
A request sent through the website or on WhatsApp is not yet a booking. We confirm availability by phone or WhatsApp, and the booking becomes firm once the 10% deposit is paid. The balance is paid on arrival.
When we confirm, we tell you how to pay the deposit. If needed, we also sign a written contract.
Cancellation
If you cancel at least 7 days before your arrival date, we refund the deposit in full within 14 days. If you cancel later, the deposit is not refunded.
Accommodation booked for specific dates carries no right of withdrawal (Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance 34/2014, Art. 16(l)); the cancellation rules above apply instead.
If, for reasons on our side, we cannot host you, we refund the deposit in full within 14 days.
Payment
You can pay in cash, by bank transfer, by card or with Romanian holiday vouchers (Edenred, Pluxee and Up). You receive a receipt or an invoice; companies receive an invoice.
Arrival and departure
We agree the arrival time with you. Departure is by 12:00. A later departure is possible on request, at no charge. The host hands over the keys.
House rules
Quiet hours run from 22:00 to 08:00. No smoking in the house; smoking is allowed outdoors only, in the gazebos. Pets are welcome, free of charge, in the rooms too. Events are possible on request, day visitors included; music outdoors until 22:00.
The zip line and trampoline are for use under adult supervision only. The person who books must be at least 18 years old. Cleaning during the stay is not included.
We do not ask for a damage deposit. If something is broken or lost during your stay, please tell us.
